Josephine Sokolski is the founder and principal of Manhattan based JCS Design Associates, Inc. Incorporated in 1970 JCS has designed, restored and renovated the public spaces and facades of over eighty-two buildings. These include landmarked properties such as the world famous Chrysler building, the Hearst Corporate Headquarters, the Film Center, and the Scribner building. Post war trend setting projects include 410 Park Avenue, 99 Park Avenue, 100 William Street, and 212 Avenue of the Americas. In between and very much ongoing there is the conversion of industrial buildings, manufacturing lofts, and warehouses into offices and residential units. These conversions include 250 Mercer, 3 Hanover Square, 11 West 19th Street, 333 East 38th Street, and 111 Eighth Avenue.
